Its about the width!!!

PWGSC believes the narrow width of the existing bayside walk is adequate! I'd like to know what's in their coffee?

After the canal bridge has been lowerd, there is a crush of joggers, walkers, cyclists and more crossing the bridge - from both sides!

Its just too narrow!!!

The lift bridge pathway is too narrow. I fear for 2 cyclists passing each other and one going over the short railing.

Skier,
There is a sign telling cyclists they must dismount if they are using the walkway.

What cyclist using clip pedals is going to dismount off his bike and walk across?? They'll just ride across the roadway which is unsuitable for bikes with narrow tires. There have been 2 cases of people breaking their arms cycling across the bridge.

I walked across the bridge with my young son for the first time today. The path was very narrow, and I had to hold him against me while cyclists flew by us. There are also holes in the bridge structure (the orange beams - look at the pictures!) in which a child could easily fall or climb into. Not safe at all for children!
